Warranty Policy
TXED Comprehensive Warranty
Every TXED electric bike comes with a comprehensive manufacturer warranty. This warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable. The warranty period begins on the date of delivery.
This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and does not limit or replace those rights.

Frame — 2-Year Warranty
TXED frames are covered against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for 2 years from the date of delivery. This includes the main frame, front fork, and swingarm (where applicable).
Covered: Cracks, breaks, or structural failures due to manufacturing defects.
Not covered: Damage from crashes, misuse, modifications, or normal cosmetic wear.
Motor — 2-Year Warranty
The 250W-rated motor is covered for 2 years against manufacturing defects. A defective motor will be repaired or replaced at no cost to the customer. The warranty period for a repaired or replaced motor remains based on the original delivery date.
Covered: Malfunction, significant performance degradation, or unusual noise due to manufacturing defects.
Battery — 1-Year Warranty
The lithium-ion battery is covered for 1 year from the date of delivery.
Covered: Manufacturing defects causing failure to hold charge or sudden capacity degradation below 60 percent of rated capacity under normal use.
Not covered: Gradual capacity loss from normal use (expected 20-30 percent over 500 charge cycles), damage from improper charging, water damage, or physical impact.
Controller, Display, and Electrical Components — 2-Year Prorated Warranty
Covered for 2 years against manufacturing defects:
· Controller unit
· LCD display
· Throttle
· Pedal assist sensor (PAS)
· Main wiring harness
· Brake cut-off sensors
The warranty period for repaired or replaced components continues based on the original delivery date.
Charger — 2-Year Warranty
Covered for 2 years against functional failure due to manufacturing defects.
Parts and Components — 7-Month Limited Warranty
Original TXED parts and components are covered for 7 months from the date of delivery. When warranty spare parts are sent to the customer, the customer is responsible for the cost of shipping.
Covered components include: derailleur, shifter, crankset, pedals, rims, wheel hubs, freewheel, cassette, brakes (excluding pads), lights, reflectors, kickstand, and hardware.
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
The following are excluded from warranty coverage:
1. Ordinary wear and tear, including but not limited to:
- Brake pads
- Brake rotors
- Spokes
- Tyres and inner tubes
- Chains
- Chain rings
- Cassettes
- Crankset
- Parts compromised due to corrosion from moisture, heat, or other environmental exposure
- Surface finish, appearance, or aesthetic damage
2. Labour charges for part replacement or changeover after the first year.
3. Defects or damage from: accident, abuse, misuse, abnormal use (including stunt riding, racing, or other activities inconsistent with intended use), improper storage, abnormal exposure to liquid, chemicals, moisture, abrasives, sand, dirt, neglect, or abnormal physical or electrical stress.
4. Scratches, dents, and cosmetic damage not caused by TXED.
5. Products with serial numbers or barcodes removed, defaced, damaged, or made illegible.
6. Damage caused by accessories, products, or ancillary equipment not supplied or approved by TXED.
7. Damage caused by assembly, testing, operation, maintenance, installation, service, repair, or adjustment in a manner inconsistent with the Assembly Instructions and Owners Manual.
8. Damage from external causes: collision, fire, flooding, windstorm, lightning, earthquake, theft, blown fuse, or improper use of any electrical source.
9. Products used or purchased outside the UK delivery area without prior agreement.
10. Unauthorised modifications, including any speed limiter removal or power modifications that make the bike non-compliant with UK EAPC regulations. TXED strongly advises against any unauthorised modifications, which may also void your insurance and affect road legality.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
Step 1: Contact our support team at service@txedbikes.com. Provide your order number, a description of the issue, and photos or videos showing the problem if possible.
Step 2: Our technical team will assess your claim within 2-3 business days. We may request additional information or arrange a video call inspection.
Step 3: If your claim is approved, we will:
· Ship replacement parts at no cost (within warranty period for parts)
· Arrange a repair at an approved service centre, or
· Provide instructions for self-repair with our guidance
Step 4: For major component replacements (motor, frame, battery), we may ask you to return the defective part before or after receiving the replacement. We provide prepaid return labels for warranty returns.
UK Consumer Rights (Additional Protection)
Your TXED warranty does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law. Specifically:
· Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have the right to a full refund within 30 days if your bike is faulty
· Between 30 days and 6 months, you are entitled to one free repair or replacement; if that fails, a refund
· Up to 6 years after delivery, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or partial refund if you can demonstrate the fault was present at delivery
